Countryhouse
Country house villa in the Zurich lowlands: an interior of luxurious elegance, styled by history and stories The small village of around 200 inhabitants is nestled between the rolling hills of the Zurich lowlands like a jewel box. At the transition to the velvety green of the rural idyll is a jewel: a country house built in 1860 with historic half-timbering that, following extensive renovation, combines history with modernity, cosmopolitan style with biography and luxurious elegance with the feeling of being at home. Creating the new to preserve the oWhen it was discovered by the current owners, the property had already undergone several changes of occupant and renovations, although the listed façade remained unchanged. Inside, lots of wood, winding rooms spread over four floors with a wide variety of floor coverings and rough plastered walls created a rustic atmosphere. Overall, the house exuded a rugged charm with a touch of dusty nostalgia.
The aim of breathing new life into the building was to preserve its substance and architectural history. At the same time, the quality of living desired by the client and the energy-efficient and sustainable design of the country house necessitated a comprehensive renovation, which was followed by a highly complex three-year renovation phase that was masterfully mastered by all craftmen involved in the planning and execution. The aim was to harmoniously combine the different levels and room heights and prepare them for the sophisticated and detailed interior design. Inspired by life, designed with sophistication The inspiration and challenge for the interior design was the client's desire for a living space that would become a unique refuge with memories of childhood travels and experiences. This was based on intensive discussions and an extensive list full of memories, ideas and concrete visions, supplemented by numerous photos and sketches as inspiration for the style of the interior. The result was a tailor-made design concept that was implemented using high-quality materials and refined details.
The house is interspersed with finely tuned detail elements that connect the rooms in a flowing and harmonious way. The client's preference for paneling also contributes to a harmonious sense of space and the integration of the different levels. Numerous custom-made fixtures and furniture provide the necessary storage space, and a well thought-out lighting concept bathes the interior and exterior spaces of the country house in an atmospheric light. The perfect staging of an interior design that creates an ambience of unpretentious elegance, cosmopolitan charm and familiar warmth with exquisite color and style worlds.

Entrance
A warm welcome! A bright, inviting entrance opens up behind the heavy chestnut wood panels of the front door. The vertically laid checkerboard pattern of the marble flooring lends depth to the entrance area, while the high ceiling and the radiant white of the paneling lend airy lightness. Cleverly placed light sources set warm accents in the chalky white tone of the walls and combine with the soft, rich brown of the door and the discreet opulence of the sofa and table to create a friendly welcome.

Dining room
Although the interior structures that have evolved over the centuries have been completely changed, the history of the building has been preserved and made tangible as a design element. The choice of textiles and the shapes of the furniture give the somewhat cramped space a flowing dynamic and open it up to the adjoining rooms.
Kitchen
The love of the culinary arts and the pleasure that begins with the creation of a menu finds its inspiring home in this exclusive country house kitchen. The unique, custom-made kitchen made of solid wood and natural stone down to the smallest detail is wonderfully enhanced by the custom-made, hand-painted tiles above the La Cornue stove.

Living room and gallery space
From a dusty little living room with a rustic fireplace to a living room with a gallery that is impressive in terms of its dimensions and interior design. The 19th century Carrara marble fireplace comes from a villa in Pau, France. The rich library, which connects both floors, is made of waxed solid oak and was produced in collaboration with Stuart Interiors in England. In classic British style, it lends the room an aura of intellectual noblesse. The Venetian chandelier made of Murano glass, which is enthroned above the living area, provides an opulent accent in the open space. Its light brings the timeless aesthetics of the neoclassical-inspired interior to life with elegant homeliness.

Master Suite
The two smaller bedrooms with separate gallery floors were opened up and connected to the adjoining bathroom. The magnificent view of the rolling hills, meadows and horse pastures from the French balcony inspired the detailed design of the rooms. Combining timeless elegance and nostalgic flair with a relaxed, personal style, the rooms are kept in neutral colors and the ambiance is characterized by clean chic with luxurious understatement. Individual, custom-made interior elements provide striking accents. For example, the neo-baroque fireplace in the sleeping area. Or the spacious shower, whose walls and floor have been designed with an artistic Sicis mosaic made of marble - a reminiscence of classic craftsmanship.

Wellness oasis
The private wellness oasis is a retreat where mind and soul come to rest. In close collaboration with the client, this space was planned with care and dedication to create an atmosphere of deceleration. The room radiates calm and clarity, with every detail contributing to an experience of holistic relaxation. Natural materials such as fine Vals quartzite and teak create a harmonious and elegant ambience. The Onsen, carved from a block of exquisite Nero Marquina marble, forms the focal point. Individually crafted and equipped with integrated sitting and reclining beds, it invites you to enjoy a feel-good experience that can be nothing less than perfect.
